The Marvell Garden and Enrichment Club of 27 members met Monday night, March 17, for the first meeting of the new club year.

New officers were chosen.  Edwynne Story will serve as president, Linda Parker will serve as vice president and Gale Lammers will serve as secretary-treasurer.

Susan Meek, Carrie Davison and Mary Fuller were selected honorary members and no longer are required to pay yearly dues.  They have been active members for many years.

Rene Fowler, owner of West Helena Flowers and Gifts, presented a program on flower arranging.  Rene, assisted by Beverly Mallard, gave a flower arranging demonstration, teaching members many things about the art as well as giving helpful tips that make flower arranging easier.   Four arrangements were made and delivered to Marvell businesses on Tuesday for them to enjoy.

The Club welcomed two new members - Kay Ligon and Ann Suddath of Marvell.

Marilyn Landon served her delicious ricotta cookies with punch before we adjourned.
