  • In an effort to better serve its patients, Helena Regional Medical Center is going high tech.
“Patient Portal will be going live soon on HRMC’s website,” www.HelenaRMC.MyHealthHome.com says Sharon Martin, director of marketing for HRMC. “Patient Portal will provide patients online access to their hospital inpatient records, test results, medications, procedure information, diagnoses and discharge instructions.
“It is convenient, private, free and easy to use,” added Martin. “The Portal has user-friendly navigation.”
When the portal goes live, HRMC patients can access hospital inpatient records within 36 hours after being discharged from the hospital, stressed Martin. There is no program to download. My Health Home can be accessed from any computer, tablet or mobile device with an Internet connection.
The participation process begins when you register to enter the hospital. Martin says simply present your photo identification and email address.
“We create an account for you in the Patient Portal,” stated Martin. “We’ll send you an email with a link to the portal HelenaRMC.MyHealthHome.com. Click on to the link to go to the portal and finalize your account setup.”
Martin reported the steps to setting up the account. They are as follows:
    • Enter your name and date of birth as it appears on the email you received.
    • Create a password and choose a security question.
    • Log in to view, download and send you information.
Martin suggested bookmarking the site in order to make is quick and simple to visit regularly. The username will always be your email address. Each visit, you must enter your password and answer your security question for added security.
“We are hoping that this online service enhances your experience with Helena Regional Medical Center and helps you become a healthier, more informed patient,” concluded Martin.
