  • Dave Ehlert of Branson, Mo. brought Mark Twain back to life in one-man performance Monday evening at the old Malco Theatre in historic downtown Helena. Twain’s satire was presented through a combination of stories, jokes and famous quotes. Twain, who penned such famous stories as “Tom Sawyer,” “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” and “Life on the Mississippi” is one of America’s most popular humorists. The Phillips County Library and Helena Museum of Phillips County co-sponsored the event. “Mark Twain 100 Years Later” was educational as well as entertaining. Letters from Twain to and original first editions of some the author’s books were on display in the library before and after the show.
