A Senatobia, Miss. woman allegedly jumped from the Helena Bridge Saturday.  At least 2 Memphis TV stations reported that Livia Harris reportedly wrote a suicide note before parking her car on the Helena Bridge and allegedly leaping into the Mississippi River.

A Helena resident reportedly saw a vehicle parked on the bridge and noted on the Helena World’s Facebook page that she notified a local law enforcement agency that referred her to another agency.

Though several law enforcement agencies have responded in rescue/recovery efforts over the past several days, none admit to getting the initial 9-1-1 call.  The Helena World spoke to the Coahoma County Sheriff’s Office officials who noted that their agency was not notified until late Saturday evening and acted on the information and had 5 rescue/recovery boats and the Desoto County, Miss. helicopter searching the area.

The Phillips County Sheriff’s Office and the H-WH FD said that the search has extended past Friar’s Point with no body found as of Monday morning.
