Earnestine Hudson, 55, of Helena, died Feb. 26, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock

Earnestine Hudson, 55, of Helena, died Feb. 26, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. Earnestine was born in Blackton on March 13, 1958 to Ruben Ford Jr. and Veona Rivers. Earnestine confessed her hope in Christ at an early age and became a member of the Church of Christ in Blackton.

Stine was a loving and dedicated person to many people. She enjoyed cooking, laughing and cracking jokes...a true angel who could put a smile on anyone's face. Stine also took great pleasure in raising three of her grandchildren – Iesha, Qunesha and Mercedes, who will miss her dearly.

Her father, Ruben Ford Jr. and great-grandson, Deon Thompson Jr., precede Earnestine Hudson in death.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mom, Veona Rivers of Clarendon; three children, Fredrick (Odessa) Hudson of Paragould, Melinda (Marcus) Hudson of Pine Bluff and Ray (Michelle) Hudson of Salt Lake City, Utah; seven grandchildren, Iesha, Qunesha, Mercedes, Chanica, Martavis and Rayven Hudson, all of Pine Bluff and Jamichael Thompson of Marvell; two great-granddaughters, Tyanna and Kaniyah Hudson; three sisters, Gertrude (Sylvester) Barrow of Clarendon, Dorothy Ford of Pine Bluff and Emma (Cleveland) Gist of Kansas City, Mo.; three brothers, Earnest (Janice) Hudson of St. Louis, Mo.; Jasper Hudson of Chicago, Ill and Raymond (Gabby) Ford of Charlottesville, Va.; five nieces, four aunts, a great-aunt, a very special friend, Arthur Hamilton, Sr. and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be  4 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 7 at Kincaid Funeral Services East Chapel, 1160 Springdale Road in Helena. The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 8 In Kincaid’s East Chapel. Bro. Otis Dawson will be the eulogist. Burial will follow in Blackton Cemetery.
