Another dismal wintery forecast is on the horizon for Arkansas.

The National Weather Service posted a variety of winter weather warnings and advisories that cover all but the far southeast corner of the state for Sunday.

A winter storm warning is in place for northern Arkansas and the central portion of the state is under a winter storm watch.

The weather service says the most intense freezing rain is likely in a band from east of Little Rock into east central or northeast areas of the state. Totals could range between a half and three-quarters of an inch of ice.

Total precipitation, including melted snow, is expected to be between 1 and 2 inches across the state. Part of northern Arkansas could get as much as 2 inches of sleet.
