An investigation regarding several discarded meth labs in Latour Road area of Phillips County has resulted in the arrest of three suspects according to Sheriff's Deputies. With a search warrant in their possession, PCSO deputies searched a Latour Road residence on Dec. 3. The incident report states that the warrant was served following an investigation conducted by Lt. Sylvester Rose and Deputy Tommy Bivens. The investigation occurred after deputies discovered several discarded meth labs along the side of the road and near the bike trail on Latour Road. During the search, the incident report says several items connected to a meth lab were found inside and outside the residence. Several tools, reportedly stolen, also were discovered. Deputies arrested Willie Bryant and Bethany Dunlap at the residence. Both face charges of manufacturing meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both, states the report, are felony charges. A third suspect, Lawrence Hayes, was not at the residence at the time of Bryant and Dunlap's arrests. He was later picked up on the same charges. Dunlap and Bryant were both on probation for previous drug charges. Hayes was on parole. Dunlap and Bryant are in custody in the Cross County Jail at Wynne where their bonds were set at $15,000 each. Hayes is in custody in the Lee County Jail at Marianna. His bond was set at $15,000. The report says more arrests are pending in the case.
