  • Helena-West Helena Police Officer Charles Byrd responded to a call from Helena Regional Medical Center regarding a reported stabbing incident that occurred New Year's Day. According to Byrd's report, LaSharrica Holmes told the officer that she and Tasharri Rodgers had been involved in a physical altercation around noon that day. The report stated that during the altercation Holmes said Rodgers took a butcher knife and stabbed Holmes in the left thigh just above the knee. The narrative also reported that Holmes suffered several scratches to her face, two cuts to her left arm and two bites on her right arm. In his report Byrd noted that he later spoke with Holmes' mother, who reported that Shameka Parks was the person that stabbed her daughter and caused all the physical injuries. Byrd told Holmes that the investigation of the incident would be turned over to the H-WHPD's Criminal Investigations Division. The report did not indicate that any arrests or charges had been filed in the incident.
