Willie Young, born July 26, 1934, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 21, 2013 at the VA hospital in Memphis, Tenn. His wife, Dimple Young, his parents Otto and Lorain Young, a daughter Pamela, a grandson, B.J., 3 sisters and a brother, preceded him in death. He leaves sons, Willie Young Jr. of Marion, Ronnie (Janet) Young of Armorel, Bobby (Karen) Young of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Richard (Laura) Young of Blytheville; a daughter, Sheila Bond (Tony) of Marianna; a sister, Florain Lawson of Jonesboro; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Mr. Young was a Korean War veteran who served his country with pride. He was also a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Hardy. Visitation will be Dec. 26at Murphy Funeral Home in Lepanto from 12 to 2 p.m. in the Chapel. Services will be held the same day at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Mike Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow in the Tyronza Cemetery. Murphy Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
