  • Rockin' on the River, a rock n' roll event to benefit Alzheimer's Arkansas programs and services for the Delta, will be held this Saturday evening (Nov. 2) at the Wild Hog Saloon in historic downtown Helena. Memory Keepers will present an evening of live rock n' roll music performed by local band Deep South. Also sponsored by the family of Jacquelyn Gastrock, the event will begin at 8 p.m. and tickets may be bought at the door. “Proceeds from the event will help bring caregiver support for those affected by Alzheimer's and related dementias in to the Delta region,” says event organizer Stephenie Cooke. Memory Keepers works to provide funding sources for informational and educational materials, training for caregivers and health services personnel, leadership training to establish support groups, financial support, respite care services and more. “This is a non-smoking event and you must be 21 to enter,” added Cooke. “Please, join us for an evening of fun as we help build a stronger community.” For additional information call or text Karen Schwantz at 870-338-1616 or Cooke at 501-920-7729.
