  • Brother Frederick Allen Noble was born July 12, 1958 to Sylvester B. Noble and Hazel S. Noble. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age by becoming a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. During his time at Morning Star he was an usher, member of the choir and played the piano. Playing the piano was his forte and he played for other churches in Helena. Following in the footsteps of his father, he and his siblings formed the group, “The Young Spirit of Helena.” After graduating from Central High School, he attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Wanting to explore another opportunity, he joined the Army, where he served for several years in Fort Braggs, N. C. as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division. Upon retiring from the Army he joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church. As a faithful member of the congregation, he served as an usher and was a member of both, the senior and young adult choirs. He then started his own group, “The Zion Gospel Singers.” He departed this life on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013. Frederick leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Hazel S. Noble; a daughter, Latrica Jones of Helena-West Helena; five sisters, Margie L.
