  • A 5-year-old Helena girl is dead and three others injured as the result of a 2-vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 242 south of Helena, the Arkansas State Police report. Isabella Haury was pronounced dead at Lebonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis after being airlifted from the crash site according to the ASP's preliminary fatal crash summary. The accident occurred at 6:53 p.m. Friday. According to the ASP report, vehicle 1, a white 1995 GMC pickup, and vehicle 2, a 2003 Toyata pickup, were both northbound on highway 242 at the time of the accident. Vehicle 1 attempted to make a left turn onto County Road 326 when vehicle 2 swerved into the southbound lane to avoid vehicle 1. Vehicle 2 was still in the northbound lane while vehicle 1 continued to turn left and struck vehicle 2 in the right front. On impact, the two vehicles went into a ditch on the west side of the roadway. Vehicle 2 overturned, ejecting three passengers – Isabella Haury, Alejundro Haury, age 7 and Mya Haury, age 6. The report listed Correna Woosytitty as the driver of vehicle 2. The driver of vehicle 1 was not named in the report. The extent of the injuries of the others also was not included in the report. Trooper Dallas Taylor was the investigating officer. The report stated that weather condition was clear and the road condition was drive at the time of the accident.
