An account in the name of St. John's Episcopal Church has been established for four-year-old Jaxson Robertson of Helena at Southern Bancorp. In December 2012, young Jaxson was diagnosed with stage 4 Hepatoblastoma, a very rare cancer. According to the latest update (dated Thursday, Sept. 4) from his mom, Sonya, Jaxson was awake and doing well after having been taken off a ventilator. “There's a slim possibility he may have to go back on the ventilator but has been doing so good, right now,” stated Sonya. “I pray with all of my heart he continues to do well without it. Everything else with him is great. Great liver numbers, normal kidney ultrasound and infection is under control.” Following chemotherapy treatment at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, on June 25 Jaxson underwent a liver transplant at St. Louis Children's Hospital. On Aug. 25, Jaxson was treated for ecoli sepsis shock. You can go to any Southern Bancorp branch to make a donation to help Jaxson. Besides his mom, Jaxson's family includes his dad Jason and his sister, Hannah. “Please keep praying for continued improvements,” stated Sonya. “Thank you Jesus for this amazing blessing.”
