First St. Paul MB Church recently wrapped up their Vacation Bible School. Church officials thanked to the generous donations made by the Helena-West Helena Fire Department and local businesses and the collaborative effort of the church and community.
Youngsters attending the VBS received backpacks and school supplies at the school supply drive.
“We would like to thank the church family, community and the special people that had the heart to donate their time and make their generous donations,” commented Jannie Lamar, VBS coordinator.
Lamar also thanked the special teachers Dorothy Coleman, Mark Clark, Janice Jarrett, Yvonne Kirkwood, Rev. Billy Ward and Lessie Calhoun.
“Without their patience and guidance, this VBS would not have been possible,” stated Lamar.
This year, First Paul was blessed with over $400 in school supplies and the church hopes that next year's VBS will be as successful as this year's effort.
“We are truly thankful to everyone who played a part in our success,” concluded Lamar.
