Marijuana plants ranging in size from two to four-feet tall were confiscated from a Phillips County residence when sheriff's deputies responded to a prowler call on August 10.
According to the incident report filed by the Sheriff's deputies, when deputies arrived at 2151 Phillips County 600 Road, they checked out the area but found no suspicious activity. The report goes on to state that deputies went to check the residence next door since the reported occupant of the residence was allegedly a registered sex offender.
Deputies knocked on the door but no one was at home at the time. The reports says that the deputies proceeded to walk around the house to the backyard. There, deputies Bennie Daniels and Willie Bender spotted several marijuana plants growing in the back yard in a small garden with a water hose watering the plants.
Lt. Sylvester Rose talked with the owner of the residence, a Tina Williams. Williams, 53, was arrested and charged with manufacture of a controlled substance, marijuana.
A court date of August 30 was set for Williams.
