For three decades Dr. Ernest Mak has distinguished himself as an Ob/Gyn who has delivered literally thousands of babies including his own child. This month, he is hanging out his shingle in family friendly Helena, where he can provide the care to expectant mothers and their babies that they well deserve. He's sees himself as a partner for helping women navigate through all the stages of their reproductive years and the golden time beyond.
On September 5, Mak is inviting prospective patients and family to an open house between 5 and 7 p.m. to meet the new doctor in town. Mak is on staff at HRMC. His office is on the hospital's campus at 1803 Martin Luther King Dr, Suite D. You'll be able to see first hand that Mak bases his medical practice on what he calls the four A's – Ability, Affordability, Amicability, and Availability.
Mak is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Raised in Southern California, he earned his BA in microbiology from UCLA at the age of 20. He graduated from the University of California School of Medicine in San Francisco. Mak completed his internship and residency at Los Angeles County University of Southern California Medical Center, one of the largest maternity hospitals in the country. There, he learned how to successfully manage pregnancies complicated by severe medical problems. Following his residency Mak had a role in developing one of the first natural birthing centers in Los Angeles.
