The Compassionate Friends of Eastern Arkansas is a self-help support group organization for families that have experienced the death of a child, at any age, from any cause. The organization offers friendship, understanding and most of all hope to bereaved parents and their families. TCF's twofold mission is to help families toward the positive resolution of grief following the death of a child, sibling or grandchild and to provide information to help others be supportive.
TCF of Eastern Arkansas Steering Committee is made up of volunteers of bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings. The Wynne Chapter was chartered March 11, 2013 and is Chapter No. 2418, it is the seventh chapter in Arkansas and hopes to reach Cross, St. Francis, Monroe, Phillips and Lee counties.
Steering Committee members pictured above from left to right are: Pastor Tim Davis (Outreach) Adriana's grandfather; Gary Walker (Outreach) Caiden's grandfather; Sondra Walker (Library) Caiden's mom; Claudette Clay (Newsletter Editor) Candice's mom; Joe Anne Hendrix (co-Leader) Joy's mom, Cassandra Winslow-Maggitt (leader) Bryce, Breya, Tayzha and Tahj's mom; and Cassandra is also Larry's sister and Angel Walker (hospitality) Caiden's grandmother and Angel is also Denny and Cleo's sister.
There are no fees or dues of any kind and it is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization.
TCF of Eastern Arkansas meets at 6 p.m. every fourth Tuesday at the Cross County Library Program Room located at 410 Merriman in Wynne Arkansas. The next meeting is set for July 23.
