  • The Phillips County Sheriff 's Department received a call from a Deloris Cook reporting that Deon Martin allegedly attacked her.
    Cook claimed that Martin threw bricks, breaking out the windows of the residence. One brick reportedly went through the window and struck Cook in the mouth.

  • The Phillips County Sheriff 's Department received a call from a Deloris Cook reporting that Deon Martin allegedly attacked her. Cook claimed that Martin threw bricks, breaking out the windows of the residence. One brick reportedly went through the window and struck Cook in the mouth. According to a Phillips County Sheriff's report, deputies made several attempts to contact Martin but were unable to locate the suspect. According to the report, Martin allegedly called the Sheriff's Department on several occasions threatening to kill sheriff deputies if they came to his house. On Tuesday July 9, at approximately 1 p.m. deputies went to Martin's residence where Lt. Sylvester Rose saw Martin cutting the grass. Martin took off running through a wooded area. Rose chased Martin through the wooded area and into a soybean field and apprehended Martin. Martin was charged with second-degree domestic battery, a Class D felony, and first degree terroristic threatening, also a Class D felony. Martin is currently being held in the Cross County jail on a $20,000 bond.
