Are you looking for an adventure that is also a learning experience? Are you between the ages of five and 14?
Then, Delta Heritage Trail State Park's Summer Day Camp is just the right place for you. The camp is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10 through Friday, July 12 from 9 a.m. until noon each day.
Park Interpreter Jon Hutto says the camp is a “fun and educational program for kids to enjoy” as they join him for three days of programs, activities and crafts centered on the “history and nature” found in the park.
According to Hutto, camp participants will make their own camp T-shirt and animal tracking guide.
“There will be other unique crafts as well,” added Hutto.
Snacks and drinks will be provided each day. There is a fee for each child to attend. Camp openings are limited so Hutto urges those interested to reserve their place in advance by calling the park office at 870-572-2352, emailing Hutto at email@example.com, or simply stopping by the park located at 5539 Highway 49 in Helena-West Helena.
