Bob Tarter with the Natural History Educational Company hosted a presentation for youngsters of all ages called "Groundbreakers" at the Phillips County Library Tuesday morning as part of the Summer Reading Program. Tarter brought in several mammals including a baby bob cat.
The bobcat (Lynx rufus) is an adaptable predator that inhabits wooded areas, as well as semi-desert, urban edge, forest edges, and swampland environments. Current populations are healthy.
