Cleveland James Jones, 73, of Helena, went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2013 at Helena Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Cleveland was born April 21,1940 to Rosie Lee and Eddie Jones in Oneida. He was one of six children born to this union. Cleveland was married in 1966 to Helen Evena-Jones.
Cleveland graduated from Eliza Miller High School.
In October 1967, Helen and Cleveland Jones relocated to Milwaukee, Wis. where he was employed at Ambrosia Factory for 15 years until he was hired at Wisconsin Cold Storage where he worked for 28 years before retiring in October 1991 due to health problems.
After retirement, Cleveland Jones focused on his passions, which included fishing, gardening and cooking – three things that he did very well.
Cleveland was in a class all by himself because he loved to dress, be a lady's man, friend and most of all father. The many that knew and loved him will miss him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosie Lee and Eddie Jones, his siblings, Florence Willis, Earleen Fonzie and Leon Jones.
Cleveland leaves his ex-wife, Helen Marie Evena-Jones and their six children, Freida, Amelia, Cleveland Jr., Theresa and Tchaka; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ellis and Henry Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
Funeral services for Cleveland James Jones will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29 in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, June 28i n the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel.
