Lecia L. Gardner passed away on June 20, 2013 at her home in Memphis surrounded by family and friends.
Lecia L. Gardner was born Nov. 19, 1972 to Woodrow and the late Bessie Gardner in Helena.
Lecia confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Precious Grove M.B. Church at Crumrod.
Lecia attended school in the Helena-West Helena School District. Lecia moved to Memphis and was home there until her death.
Lecia worked various jobs in the Helena-West Helena, Tunica, Miss. and Memphis area.
Her mother, Bessie Gardner, precedes Lecia in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Levarus Gardner, Dartarius Foster of Memphis, Tenn., Matsha Foster of Conway, Kierra Hines of Bethesda, Md.; a grandson, Christian Amir Dash of Bethesda, Md.; her father, Woodrow Gardner of Helena-West Helena; five brothers; Earl Gardner of Tacoma, Wash., Andre Gardner of Jonesboro, Woodrow (Zena) Gardner Jr. of San Diego, Calif., Phillip Gardner of Conway and Troy (Jarita) Gardner of Fort Worth, Texas; four sisters, Carolyn Hicks of Helena-West Helena, Brunda (Willie) Franklin of Helena- West Helena, Barbara Gardner of Conway, Annie Jones of Lake View; three uncles, Tommy Harp of Elaine, Freddie Gardner of Chicago, Ill., Calvin Johnson of Little Rock; three aunts; Ella Hollins of Chicago, Irene Dixon of Helena-West Helena, Nancy Gardner of Flint, Mich. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Funeral services for Lecia L. Gardner will be held 1 p.m. Monday, June 24 in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel. Rev. Nathaniel Hull Jr. will officiate the service.
