Native American culture will be the focus of a day camp sponsored by the Delta Cultural Center, July 15-19. Entitled “Native American Discovery Days,” the camp is targeted to children, grades 4 – 6. Campers will discover what life was like for the original inhabitants of the Arkansas Delta with interactive presentations by knowledgeable speakers from the Delta region.
Campers can choose to attend either a morning session (9:15 – 11:30 a.m.), or an afternoon session (12:45 – 3:00 p.m.). Each day will focus on a different aspect of Native American life.
The camp will be held in the Delta Cultural Center Depot at 95 Missouri St. There is no charge for the day camp, but space is limited. Come by the DCC Visitors Center at 141 Cherry Street to enroll. The deadline is Friday, June 28.
