Betty Jean Robinson was born Jan. 27, 1948 in Hughes, to the late Ossie Brown and Louise Davis.
She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She was a graduate of M.M. Tate High School and a graduate of Phillips County Community College.
She was a loving mother, sister, and friend. She loved to sew, decorate and create all kinds of art. She also loved her baby sister and craft store.
Betty departed this life June 11, 2013 surrounded by her love ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ossie Brown and Louise and Jimmy Davis, a son, Terry Tyrone, two brothers, Arnett Thrift and Garry Thrift, a grandchild; Latishia Henry and a grandmother; Nettie Mae Mitchell.
Betty Jean Robinson leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Yvonne (Billie) Edwards of Kingsland Ga., Vivian (Cleo) Henry of Jonesboro and Shari (Tyrone) Powell of Paragould; three brothers, Bruce Thrift of Miami, Fla., Larry Thrift of Memphis Tenn. and Barry Thrift of Denver Colo.; three sisters, Ruthie Brown of Newman Ga., Stella Smith of Austin Texas and Norma Thrift of Helena-West Helena; 11 grandchildren, Terrance, Latoria, Lashieka, Tanieska, Latilya, Kentral, Lashannon, Lashun, Cleo Henry Jr., Courtnee Henry and Tyrone Powell Jr.; 15 great-grand children; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends including a special friend, Dennis Anderson.
Visitation/ceremony will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 22 in the Jackson – Highley Funeral Home Chapel.
