On Wednesday June 5, the Arkansas Delta Arts Partnership held a reception for the winners of the Arkansas Heritage Month Art contest at the Delta Cultural Center Depot.
Paulette Parker, president of the ADAP announced the winners of both the photography contest and the painting contest.
Receiving honors were Cheryl Morre, first place, Jane Woodie, second place and Debbie Snowden, third place in photography. In the painting category, honors went to Kathy Dulaney, first place; Roohi Huq, second place and Misti Stanley, third place.
Judges for the contest were Dr. Don Frederick, a local physician and photographer, and Ms. Elizabeth Hensley, art instructor for the Marvell-Elaine School District.
The paintings and photos will be on display until June 28 and the public is invited to see the display of artwork of these local artists.
