Funeral services for the late Earl Lee Williams will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1 at Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church located at 218 Beautiful Zion Lane in Helena. Rev. Danny Robinson will officiate. Visitation will be noon to 6 p.m. p.m. in the Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will be in New Zion Cemetery in Helena-West Helena Earl Lee Williams passed away on May 22, 2013 at age 71. The beloved son was born Feb. 26, 1942 to Mr. Williams and Essie Mae Strong in Helena. Earl passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Earl served in the U.S. Army for several years before moving back home. He confessed hope at an early age. His father, Mr. Williams and his mother Essie Mae Strong preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory, longtime friend for over 30 years, Ms. Freddie Fraction; six children, Pamela (Bruce) Turner, Pubula Williams, Earl Williams Jr. (Tonya), Phelecia J. Williams; brother, Curtis Paul (Deloris) Thompson of Waco, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren, a daughter-in-law, Alma Fraction of Memphis; a grandson, Robert Brown of Helena; and god sister, Mattie Harris of Helena; and host of family, and friends that will miss him dearly.
