  • Faye Alice Suggs Branscomb, 54, of Helena-West Helena, passed away on May 11, 2013 at her home in Helena-West Helena surrounded by her loving family. Faye Alice Suggs Branscomb was born Jan. 14, 1959 to the late Robert Lee Suggs Sr. and Ruby Lee Steele Suggs in Helena. To their union of four children, Faye was the only girl. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She attended school at Helena Crossing and graduated from Eliza Miller. Faye was employed at Helena Regional Medical Center from 1977 to 1992. She was always known as a caring and helpful person. Faye was employed at Lady Luck Casino for a number of years. Faye and Norman started a trucking company that they loved dearly. In 1989, she married Norman "June" Branscomb and remained happily married to him until his passing in 2011. Faye was a real people person. She was always comical and would have you laughing your heart out. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Faye is preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Norman Branscomb Jr., her parents, Robert and Ruby Suggs and a special aunt, Margaret Samuels. She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Jar'Queryous Branscomb of Jonesboro; a daughter, Antwanishia Branscomb (Damon) Thompson of Jonesboro; a stepdaughter, Monicka Branscomb of Forrest City; three grandsons, Jordyn Thompson of Jonesboro, Jaylin Hughes of Marianna, Javuntae Hughes of Marianna; and a special granddaughter, Jade Thompson of Jonesboro; four brothers, James Suggs of Helena-West Helena, Elmore Suggs of Conway, Tony (Marilyn) Pillow of Russellville and Rosevelt Suggs of Georgia; three sisters, Rosie Pillow (Johnny) Williams of Russellville, Seclester Pillow (Theodus) Robinson of Conway and Vernita (Theodis) Webster, of Memphis Tenn.; a loving mother-in-law, Queen Ester Branscomb of Marianna; six sisters-in-law, Glenola Suggs of California, Barbara (Earlie) Branscomb of Helena-West Helena, Lavoris Branscomb (Clarence) Pearson of Forrest City, Lakesha Branscomb (Steve )Turner of Little Rock, Luretha (Sylvester) Hobbs of Moro, Melcine Davis of Marianna; nine brothers-in-law, Freddie Branscomb, and Lester (Ann) Branscomb, both of St. Louis, Mo., Charles (Arlene) Branscomb of Chicago, Ill., Larry Branscomb of Grady, Anthony Branscomb, Calvin Branscomb, Earl (Hester) Branscomb, all of Marianna, Tyrone Branscomb of Helena-West Helena, Darren (Louise) Branscomb of Lonoke; two nieces, Cynethia Stephens (Cedell) Otis of Helena-West Helena and Dyeachia Branscomb of Helena-West Helena; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, a special friend, Johnny Galmore and many dear friends. Funeral services for Faye Alice Suggs Branscomb will be held 11 a.m. at First Baptist M.B. Church on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Dr. Nathaniel Hull Sr. will officiate. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel on Friday, May 17, 2013. Burial will be in Oakgrove No.3 Cemetery.
