Sheila Denise Young Jackson, 33, passed away on April 16, 2013 at Baptist Medical Center in North Little Rock.
She was born Sept. 5, 1979 in Blytheville to Morris Beverly Young and Betty Jean Manning. Sheila received the Lord at an early age and worked in music ministry from the time she 5 years old, later ministering in song before thousands. She graduated from Blytheville High School in 1997. After high school she attended Arkansas State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in accounting. She continued her education by enrolling at ASU again and attaining her Master of Business Administration.
She worked for several companies as an accountant and began to work for Windstream Communication in 2007, becoming the manager of revenue accounting.
Sheila married LeRoy Jackson in 1999 in Jonesboro. They were happily married for 13 years. She became a member of the Apostolic Life Center Church in Marvell where she was worship ministry coordinator and in 2012, she and her husband became the pastor and first lady of the church. She lived her life to please God and help others. She was an inspiration to everyone that was connected to her.
Her father, Morris Young, her great-grandmother, Juanita Cathron and grandmother, Margie White, preceded Sheila in death.
She leaves her spouse, LeRoy Jackson and daughter, Kristen Danielle Jackson, both of North Little Rock; her mother, Betty Manning Jones and stepfather Tony Jones of Stone Mountain, Ga.; a brother, Michael D Manning of Conyers, Ga.; a sister, Donna (Donald) Roshell of Fordyce; nieces, nephews and host of other relatives.
Visitation will be 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 19at the Apostolic Life Center Church at 1335 Highway 49 in Marvell.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20 at the church. Burial will follow in Postelle Cemetery.
