Funeral services for Kevin O'Neal Mayo will be held at noon Saturday, April 13 at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church Highway 49, Marvell. Rev. Norman McCray Jr. will officiate. Visitation will be noon to 6 p.m. Friday, April 12 in the Stephens Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will be in Long Valley Cemetery in Marvell. Kevin Mayo was born Sept. 25, 1966 to the late Dave Mayo and Wyoma Mayo in Marvell. He departed this life's journey on April 5, 2013 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. He attended Mt. Moriah M.B. Church until he relocated to Little Rock. He was a graduate of Marvell High School. His father Van Mayo, a brother, Grady Mayo and his grandparents, Robert Lee and Annie Mae Johnson and Mandy Mayo, precedes Kevin in death. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother, Sister Wyoma Mayo; 2 children, Vashun Mayo and Kaitlyw Mayo; 2 grandchildren, Kylen Mayo and Landen Mayo, all of Little Rock; 3 brothers, Andray Mayo of Marvell; Kim Mayo of Turner; and Bob Mayo of Marvell; 4 sisters, Beverly (Jerry) Henderson of Little Rock, Annie Mayo and Mary Ann Mayo, both of Turner and Donna (Scottie) Davenport of Forrest City; 2 uncles, Jimmie (Alice) Johnson of Marvell and Lawrence (Carlyn) Mayo of Flint Mich.; 6 aunts, Mable Allen of Turner, Bertha (Earmer) Cox and Mae Pigger, both of Marvell, Shirley Johnson of Chicago, Christine ( Author) Kelly and Deloris (Joseph) Porter of Flint, Mich.; 3 special cousins, Lydell Mayo, Alan Johnson and Melvin Green, all of Little Rock; a special friend James Traylor of Little Rock, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
