Judy Rose Sanders, 46, of Helena, passed away at her home on April 7, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born on July 9, 1966 to Martha and Coleman Harris in Des Moines, Iowa.
She later relocated to Helena with her adopted parents, David and Lou Emily Benton.
Her parents and a brother, Jacob Williams, preceded her in death.
Judy was saved at an early age and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Helena. She later moved her membership to First Baptist Church in West Helena. She was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1985. She loved to travel and spend quality time with her children, grandchildren and friends.
Judy leaves to cherish her memory, five children, 3 sons, James Harris of Helena-West Helena, Jarod Harris (Deidre) of Pine Bluff and Tyron Willis of Helena; 2 daughters, Angel Bailey of Pine Bluff and Jameica Bailey of Helena-West Helena; a brother, Isaac Turner (Angela) of Venice, Fla.; and a sister, Debbie Alexander (Earnest) of Omaha, Neb.; four grandchildren, James Harris Jr., Meldrick Gibson Jr., Meliah Gibson and Tyron Willis Jr.; her best friend of 25 years, Mary "Kathy" Hunter; a very special friend, Earl Webster; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kincaid Funeral Services. The funeral will be Saturday, April 13 at 11a.m. at First M.B. Church in Helena-West Helena. Rev. Dr. Nathaniel Hull, Sr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Jackson Memorial Garden.
