Crystal Ezell, of Lexa, has been chosen as the new recipient of the Louis Chandler Jr., Memorial Scholarship at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA).

Crystal Ezell, of Lexa, has been chosen as the new recipient of the Louis Chandler Jr., Memorial Scholarship at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA). A Central High School graduate, Ezell is currently working toward a degree to pursue a career in social work. Adline Chandler, who is an employee and graduate of PCCUA, formed this scholarship in memory of her husband who was a great support to her throughout their marriage. The Louis Chandler, Jr. Memorial Scholarship provides $500 per semester and is renewable for two years. To be eligible, students must have a minimum composite ACT score of 21 or a 2.5 or higher GPA. Students must be Phillips County residents in order to apply. Once awarded the scholarship, recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 in order to keep the scholarship for two years.
