  • Tresha Alisha Wilson, 48, of Morrilton, made her transition from the earthly life to eternal peace on Sunday, April 7, 2013. Tresha was born on Aug. 23, 1964 to James Toney and Betty J. Gibson in Elaine. Tresha confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Elaine. After moving to Russellville, she was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Morrilton. She married Roscoe Wilson in 1989. A beautiful daughter was born, Tiffany Nicole Wilson. Tresha grew up in Elaine and graduated from Elaine High School. After graduation, she attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where she received a B. S. in business administration. She was employed with Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Clarksville. Tresha was preceded in death by her grandmother, Erma Gibson Grant, step-grandfather, Sammie Grant, paternal grandparents Ernest and Lucille Toney, two aunts, Georgia Mae Ethington and Bernice Tye, four uncles, Charles Gibson, James Gibson, Freddie Toney and Ernest Toney Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter, Tiffany Nicole Wilson of Helena-West Helena; her father, James Toney of Greenville, Miss., her mother, Betty Gibson of Queens, N.Y.; three sisters, Keshia Gibson Sourzes of Queens, Cassandra (Kop) Toney and Belinda Toney of Chicago; two brothers, James Toney Jr. of Dallas and Gregory Toney of Chicago; her aunts, Levora (Nathaniel) Carlton of Elyria, Ohio, Vileara (Willie) Jordan of Pine Bluff, Sandra (Jerry) Henry of Helena-West Helena, Verlene Garner and Delores Toney of Helena-West Helena, Dorothy(Richard) Sanders of Crete, Ill., Katherine Toney Jackson of Southaven, Miss.; two great aunts, Viola Watson of Elaine, Dr. Lavern Scott (Pete) of Helena-West Helena; a special friend, Ramona Scott; a special teacher, Elna Hasberry, a special neighbor, Pam Allison; special caretakers, Jerry and Sandra Henry, Josephine Overall, Dr. Lavern Scott and Tia Sanders; special nurses, Margie Hawkins, Glenda Hudson, Lakeshia Smith and Mrs. Stafford; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13 at the P.L.M.&D District Center with Rev. Andrew Gibson officiating. Visitation will be Friday, April 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the First Baptist Cemetery at Elaine.
