Children learn through play, filling your day with fun if you enjoy working to teach young children. Offering kids some fun and educational games that encourage creative thinking, Children's Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 13, at Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA).
Join the Early Childhood Education students, instructor Yvette Robertson, and the Community Service Department from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 (noon) in the PCCUA gym for a free morning of fun for kids, ages 12 and under, and their parents.
The event will feature numerous projects that the early childhood students have learned in college. A wide range of activities including drawing, painting, physical activity, and crafting have been planned, and the children will receive prizes for their participation.
The Early Childhood program is designed for individuals who are interested in studying and working with young kids in preschool and day care settings and want to make a difference in the lives of children.
Children's Day will include challenging games, interesting experiments, food, and other types of entertainment – all free. An adult must accompany all children. For more information about the event, call Judy Bernard at 338-6474, ext. 1181.
