A groundbreaking ceremony for Enviro Tech will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 2 at Beth El Heritage Hall at the corner of Cherry and Pecan streets in Helena. Doug Friedlander, executive director of the Phillips County Chamber of Commerce, made the announcement late Thursday afternoon.
According to Friedlander, the Helena-West Helena Port Authority is inviting the community to come celebrate a milestone in the development of the Helena Slack Water Harbor.
U.S. Senator Mark Pryor will be the keynote speaker for the breaking of ground for Enviro Tech's new $5.5 million, 110,000 square-foot plant.
“All members of the public are welcomed and highly encouraged to attend this event that will be celebrating new jobs for Phillips County,” commented Friedlander.
A catered reception will follow the ceremony.
