  • The Marvell Library hosted the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission's Hunter Education Course on Feb. 23. A total of 75 people (15 adults and 60 young people ages 8 – 18) spent their entire Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. hearing lectures about every aspect of hunting responsibility and hunting safety, looking at hunter safety films and watching demonstrations like gear to wear and safe things to do if you hunt from a tree stand and the proper way to load a muzzleloader. Kevin Keen of Hazen, Arkansas Game & Fish Commission representative, headed the day's program and was joined by Ricky McClurg and Butch Herron of Marianna, Wildlife Officer Sam Adams and Hunter Education Coordinator Joe Huggins.
