The Helena-West Helena Police Department has confirmed that the remains of 21-year old Helena-West Helena man were found following a fire that occurred Monday. The body of Damien McNeal was found in the apartment complex located behind the Mapco convenience store after it caught fire early Monday morning. Helena Fire Department units responded to 530 Beech at the corner of Beech and Porter streets at 5:30 a.m. According to fire reports, for the structure fire that lasted until 7 a.m. Capt. Roy Covington reported that currently the Criminal Investigations Department of the H–WHPD is investigating the case. So far, the cause of the fire is unknown. The Helena World will report any additional information as it becomes available. Helena Fire Department units also responded to 719 Porter for a structure fire around 1:05 Saturday morning in the apartment complex behind the Mapco Service Station. The fire is said to have started in the same area of the 530 Beech Street fire but in a different apartment complex.
