Helena-West Helena City Hall on Perry Street was burglarized Thursday night according to a city official.
The intruder entered the building through the building's roof skylight and stole what little money was in the vending machines and destroying the machines and damaging locked doors in the building.
The official estimated the cost of the damages to amount to several thousand dollars to take only a few dollars in change from the machines.
Several years ago the CID office in the same building was burglarized and a safe with $25,000, guns and narcotics, were stolen.
No charges were ever filed in that burglary.
