U.S. Senator John Boozman visited the KIPP Delta College Preparatory High School campus while on a brief tour of Helena-West Helena Friday afternoon. Boozman toured some of the classes and was introduced to some Teach for America instructors. He also spoke briefly to students during their “Hour of Power” session. Boozman, a successful businessman and life-long resident of Arkansas, successfully established the low vision program at the Arkansas School for the Blind in Little Rock and worked as a volunteer optometrist at an area clinic that provides medical services to low-income families.
