St. Mary's annual Mardi Gras celebration is just around the corner.
The good times will be rolling again during the forthcoming Mardi Gras Weekend of Feb. 2-3 at the Parish Hall of St. Mary Catholic Church at 117 Columbia St.
The festivities begin at 4 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 2) with a “Happy Hour” oyster bar. A Cajun shrimp boil dinner will follow at 6:30 p.m. Dinner includes a pound of shrimp, corn, potatoes, coleslaw, bread, pudding and drink.

An old-fashioned Italian spaghetti lunch will be served beginning at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3. Carryouts are available and children under age 6 can eat free. Tickets are available from any St. Mary parishioner, at the door, or from the church office.
Lunch includes spaghetti and meatballs, bread, salad, cheesecake and drink.
A jewelry sale will be held during the spaghetti lunch.
Tickets for the Mardi Gras super drawing will be available from St. Mary parishioners, the church office or at any of the Mardi Gras events. The drawing will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Cash prizes will be awarded and you need not be present to win.
The parish hall, where all of the activities will be held, will be decked out in its best Mardi Gras attire. Everyone attending is encouraged to wear their beads and masks. If you don't have any, some will be some available at the door.
There will be slices of king cakes for sale during the festivities. Sammy Saia promises a rollicking Happy Hour with music and oysters on the half shell.
