  • The Crossroads Coalition announces the launch of The Delta Young Professionals (DYP) Program in the Arkansas Delta region. The DYP will be a self-sustaining, member-based professional development and service program for emerging leaders in the East Arkansas Delta. In addition to professional development and networking, the primary service mission of the DYP will be to establish an ongoing mentoring program to model personal and civic responsibility, encourage positive life choices, and cultivate career/life readiness among students in grades 6-12 in the Crossroads Coalition region. The kick-off event will be held on Friday, Jan. 25, at the East Arkansas Community College Fine Arts Center in Forrest City, AR. The networking brunch will begin at 9:00 AM, and the attendees can look forward to getting to know their region and fellow young professionals a little better, while learning more about their first year in the Delta Young Professionals Program. Crossroads Coalition founding member LeRoy Dangeau will be speaking to the group on the importance of leadership in the Arkansas Delta. The first year of the program will be focused on program development and member recruitment. The members of the Delta Young Professionals Program will meet once a month for a Professional Development workshop or a networking event throughout the Crossroads Coalition region.
