Marvell native Kimberly Hall Clement recently joined the staff of Southern Bancorp Community partners in Helena as community development officer.
Marvell native Kimberly Hall Clement recently joined the staff of Southern Bancorp Community partners in Helena as community development officer. Clement will be responsible for supporting and promoting community development initiatives in the areas of health, education, housing, leadership, economic development and other priorities the Strategic Community Plan defines. Clement comes to Southern Bancorp from the Reynolds Institute on Aging at the Arkansas Geriatric Education Center of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. While there, she developed and managed multiple outreach and in-service programs for rural hospitals and UAMS Centers on Aging in Arkansas and neighboring states. She earned a communications degree with emphasis on public relations at Mississippi State University. Clement also is a graduate of the UAMS Leadership Essentials course. “Kimberly's skills and experience with outreach and in-service programs, her talent for developing and managing programs and her local connections are a great fit for our efforts right here in Phillips County,” said Tanya Wright, group president of Southern Bancorp and chief executive officer of Southern Bancorp Community Partners.” “I am excited about joining the team at Southern Bancorp Community Partners and look forward to working for the citizens of Phillips County as we improve our community,” said Clement. “It's great to be home.” Southern Bancorp Community Partners works directly with its affiliate Southern Bancorp, a U.S. Treasury-certified community development bank, to revitalize underserved communities in the Mid-South.
