Funeral services for the late Brother Eddie Lee Green Jr. will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church at 206 Adams St. in Helena.
Rev. Jesse King will officiate.
Visitation will be noon to 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18 in Stephens Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Helena-West Helena.
Brother Eddie Lee Green Jr. was born Nov. 7, 1950 in Helena to Ms. Ruth Lewis Green and the late Eddie Lee Green Sr. He was the fourth of seven children.
His father, Eddie Lee Green Sr. and a brother Jimmy Hughes Davis precede him in death.
Eddie's education was here in the Delta where he went to school in the Helena-West Helena School District – Class of 1969.
He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized. He joined the St. Mary Missionary Baptist He served as a member of the No. 3 Choir.
He went to St. Louis after graduating from high school to work for Chrysler Motor Co. for a number of years. He began to long for home and family and returned in 1976 and went to work for Doughboy Enterprise. He also worked for the City Bus Line in Helena-West Helena until his health began to fail.
He leaves to cherish and remember him, a loving mother Ruth Green of Helena; three Sisters, Mable Green Bledsoe of Helena, Ida (Willie) Cooper of Kansas City, Mo. and Annie Mae Green of Syracuse, N.Y.; two brothers, Robert Green of Helena and Freddie (Lillian) Green of Russellville; an uncle Hamp (Katie) Lewis of St. Louis: an aunt, Gloria Lewis of St. Louis; a special cousin, Janet Faye (Melvin) Banks of Helena; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
