Michael Dewayne Washington departed this life on Jan. 5, 2013 at Helena Regional Medical Center. He was born in Helena on March 17, 1972 to Clarence John Washington Sr. and Marie Washington. He accepted Christ at an early age, and later became a member of Beautiful Zion M.B. Church. He was a faithful member until God called him home. “Big Mike” is what his family affectionately knew him by. Michael was a Central High School graduate of the Class of 1991. He was always involved in several school sports. While in school, he started his own lawn service company called Mike's Lawn Service. Later he started another business called Mike's Game and Pool Hall. Mike had many talents where cooking was something he loved and enjoyed. He eventually opened Burger World on Elm Street. He later moved and his business named it Burger World and More. He was well known and respected in the community. He always had a smile on his face. He had great hospitality and would always lend a helping hand. Michael was a giving person who loved to help anyone he came across. He will truly be missed for all his annual Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners where he would feed whomever were in need. Even though he is gone from our sight, the legacy that he leaves behind will forever remain in our hearts. Michael is preceded in death by his father Clarence Washington Sr. and Uncle Joe Willie (Pollie) Washington. He leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Michael Washington of Sherwood; a loving mother, Marie Washington of Helena; three brothers, Clarence J. Washington Jr. of Jonesboro, Tyrone A.
