Funeral services for Abraham Lewis will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at Greater Power C.O.G.I.C. Rev. British Conley will officiate. Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11 in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel. Lewis was born June 1, 1935 to the late Daisy Mosby in Alligator, Miss. Abraham was reared in Mississippi and later moved to Arkansas where he made his home until his death. Abraham passed on Jan. 1, 2013 surrounded by his family. He worked for many years as a farm worker in various capacities. His mother and two sisters, Gertrude Conley and Carrie Hill, precede him in death. He leaves to cherish her memory, his wife of 32 years, Lottie Lewis; six sons, Maurice (Monique) Lewis, Sherman Lewis, Larry Williams, Aaron Williams, Kennell Staten and Jerome Foster; five daughters, Alnita (Tyrone) Davis, Kathy Lewis, Ollie Jones, Rose (Steve) Austin, Latina Singleton; 33 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Conley; three sisters, Dorothy Conley, Flora Smith, and Annie Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
