Funeral services for the late Dollether Tobar of Helena-West Helena, will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 at the Greater First Baptist Church. Rev. Arthur Hughes will officiate.
Visitation will be noon to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28 in the Stephens Funeral Home chapel.
Burial will be in Jackson Memorial Garden.
Dollether Tobar earned her wings on Dec. 19, 2012 at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis surrounded by her loved ones.
Dollether Tobar was born March 26, 1962 to the late Willie and Aretha Tobar in West Helena. She confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Greater First Baptist Church.
Dollether graduated from Central High School in Helena-West Helena. She attended Phillips County Community College and the University of Fayetteville at Arkansas. She later served 10 years in the U.S. Navy. After leaving the service she returned home to care for her parents until the Lord called them home.
She was a very loving daughter and sister to her family and she will truly be missed. She was quiet, but very well spoken and always respected others.
Her loving parents, Willie and Aretha Tobar and 3 brothers, Willie C. Tobar, Freeman Tobar and Freddie Tobar, precede her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory 5 loving brothers, Jerry Tobar, Alvin (Loretha) Tobar, Cardell (Barbara) Tobar, all of Detroit, Melvin (Blossem) Tobar of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Curtis (Minnie) Tobar of Helena-West Helena; and a sister –in- law, Doris Tobar of Detroit. She also leaves 3 special loved ones, Aunt Willie M. Moor, Dicie and Lawrence Tobar, all of Forrest City; 4 uncles, 6 aunts, 4 nieces, 8 nephews; a host of cousins and friends; a special friend, who was like a mother, Beulah Golida; a special cousin, Emma Wright; and a long- time special Navy friend, Paul Jenkins.
