Ora Lee Tate, 74 of Marvell, passed away Dec. 7, 2012 in Conway. She was born Dec. 29, 1937 to the late Annias “Leach” and Cora Tate in Marvell. Mother Tate accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. All her life she was a member of the Fountain Head Missionary Baptist Church in Marvell, where Rev. James Allen is the current pastor. Her ministry in the church was serving as an usher and singing in the choir. She also on occasion helped with the youth. Her participation continued until her health began to fail. Mother Tate is a graduate of Phillips County Community College with an associate's degree in business administration. Her work history included serving as a cook at the Cedar Lodge Nursing Home in Marvell and later the Crestpark Nursing Home as a dietician. Preceding her in death are her parents and a great granddaughter, Terrikia Carter. She leaves to cherish her memory, four children, Lee Annias of Marvell, Lorie (Paul) of Conway, William (Barbara) of Staten Island, N.Y. and Selvin (Joice) of Little Rock. Also cherishing her memory is a special daughter-in-law, Violet Tate of Helena; 13 grandchildren, Lisa, of Beavercreek. Ohio; Annias (Shakenia), of Conway, Mildron “Sean”, of Helena, Chelse and Tevin of Conway, William and Quentin of Staten Island, Brittannica and Selvin of Little Rock, Dewonne of Longview, Texas; ShaQuita and Jarvin of Fayette, Miss; 6 great-grandchildren, Allyson of Beavercreek, Ohio; Breanna and Amani of Conway, Michael, Kassidy and Coreyana of Fayette, Miss. We cannot leave out a host of family and friends including the pet she grew to love “Dallas”. Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kincaid Funeral Services. The funeral will be Saturday, Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. at Fountain Head M.B. Church. Rev. Paul Williams will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery.
