A 47-year-old Helena-West Helena man is dead after being shot in the head by a shooter firing indiscriminately in the Market Street area of Helena-West Helena on Thursday, Nov. 30.
According to H–WHPD investigators, Gary Robinson Jr. allegedly was firing a 40-caliber Glock semi-automatic in the front yard of John Braggs' residence at 409 Market Street. The report states Braggs looked out his living room window to see what was going on and was shot in the head.
Robinson was arrested and charged with first- degree murder in connection with the incident. He also faces charges of a terroristic act, possession of firearms by certain persons (felon) and discharging a firearm inside the city limits.
Robinson appeared in Helena-West Helena District Court Monday. His bond was set at $515,000.
According to police, Melvin Washington Jr. allegedly furnished Robinson with the weapon. Police arrested Washington Wednesday and charged him as an accomplice to first degree murder and furnishing a handgun to a felon.
Washington's bond was set at $200,000.
