  • Funeral services for Jonelle Jeniece Jackson-Minor will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at the P.L.M.&D District Center. Rev. J.L. Patterson will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel. On Feb. 23, 1982, a beautiful baby girl was born to Dorothy Jackson and the late Earnest J. Jackson. Her big sister, Lakesha, named her Jonelle Jeniece. Jonelle accepted Christ as her personal savior at the tender age of 8 on Aug. 12, 1990 at the First Baptist Church in Helena and was baptized by the late T. J. Scott Jr. She served as a junior usher for many years. She graduated with honors from Central High School with the proud class of 2000. After graduation, Jonelle attended Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas where she gained certification as a cosmetologist but her passion was doing nails. She was employed as a manicurist for many years in the area. Jonelle married the love of her life, Avery Minor, on May 7, 2002. To this union two children were born, Averyan Aaliyah and Brian Jarrell Minor. Jonelle Jackson-Minor silently fell asleep in the arms of Jesus on Nov. 19, 2012. Preceding her in death was her father, Earnest J. Jackson, grandmother, Willie Jean Pierce, an uncle, David Charles Pierce and a brother-in-law, Brian Jarrell Minor. She leaves her loving and devoted husband of 13 years, Avery Minor; a daughter, Averyan Aaliyah Minor; a son, Brian Jarrell Minor of Orlando, Fla.; her mother, Dorothy Jackson; a sister, Lakesha Gordon, all of Helena-West Helena; brothers, Devin Crumpton of Helena-West Helena, Al (Heather) Jackson, Germstown, Md., mother-in-law, Zelda Robinson, father-in-law, John Henry (Matlean) Minor, of Helena-West Helena; nine aunts; eight uncles; many cousins; two sisters-in-law; and five brothers-in-law and many friends. She also leaves Tekeetya White who was like a sister to her for many years. Family and friends may sign the guestbook at: http://www.brownshomeforfuneralsinc.com/ --
