Funeral services for Mary Neal will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 1 at the P.L.M.&D District Center. Rev. Leroy Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the First Baptist Church Cemetery at Elaine. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel. Mary Neal was born March 8, 1932 in Old Town to Will and Mary Link. Mary gave her life to Christ at an early age. She later became a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake View. She married Henry Neal and to that union 10 children were born. Her parents precede Mary in death, husband, Henry Neal, a son, Henry Neal Jr., sisters, Rissie Carter and Sophia Heard, two brothers, Ray Link and Will Link Sr. On Nov. 25, 2012, while surrounded by her family at the home of her eldest daughter in Southaven, Miss., Mary went home peacefully to be with the Lord. Mary leaves to cherish her memory; six daughters, Marie (Bobby) Cannon of Southaven, Diane (Arvester) Brown of Helena, Lynette (Wayne) Newsom of Memphis, Lavorn (John) Fogle of Little Rock, Linda (Charlie) Smith of Barton and Julie Neal of Memphis; two sons, Carl (Allie) Neal of Milwaukee, Wis. and Clarence (Joyce) Neal of Pine Bluff; 16 grandchildren, Kevin Davis, Genesis Bobo, Vincent Newton, Jr., Jesse Jerome Anderson, Lindsey Smith, Christopher Neal, Dimitris Gant, Denzell Newsom, Brittany Jones, Danielle Golden, Adrienne Neal, Tarus Neal, Sharese Neal, Monte Jackson, Takera Neal, Amelia Neal; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, Joe Link of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two sisters, Sidney Mae Link of Fort Wayne and Lester Grayson of Little Rock; a sister-in-law, Melvina Link of Helena; a nephew, Will Link III; a goddaughter, Bertha Glasgow; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
