Funeral services for Harlos (Neal) Byrd will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Harlos Oneal (Neal) Byrd was born Dec. 7, 1956 at Harrisburg to Aline Conkin and the late Alton Byrd. He died Thursday, Nov.15, 2012 in Memphis. He was a retired carpenter and lived most of his life in Helena-West Helena. Neal loved hunting and fishing. He leaves his mother, Aline Conkin; two children, Tony Byrd of Helena-West Helena and Natasha Hellett of Memphis; three stepchildren, Michele (Michael) Etoch, Curtis (Jennifer) Amos and Terry Nicholson, all of Helena-West Helena; six grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two step great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ronnie Byrd of Harrisburg, William (Sonny) Byrd of Helena-West Helena and Allen (Donna) Little of Milan, Tenn.; four sisters, Adell Vaughn, Bernice Williams, Ivon (David) Ray and Margie Dillinger, all of Helena-West Helena; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. His father, Alton Byrd, his stepfather, Luke Little, a brother, Larry Byrd, a sister, Peggy Maxwell and his grandparents, precedes him in death.
